Welcome to SHE@CYBER Project

SHE@CYBER aspires to support in making Europe more cyber secure by developing applicable and useful tools for SMEs and MEs and promote “gender gap parity” in the cybersecurity filed by enabling females and disadvantaged groups to transition in new roles.

Humanity will experience more technological developments over the next 10 years than what we experienced over the past 100 years (Source).
This makes the need to capitalise on the full potential of digital transformation an imperative along with the need for more cybersecurity skills.

SHE@CYBER is designed to address the critical need for cybersecurity professionals and to engage underrepresented groups, and women, in the field in order to address the skills gap and gender diversity.

The specific objectives of the project are to:

  • 1. Analyse the workforce strategy and develop a road map for VET training in cybersecurity skills for workforce entrants from non-technical backgrounds, focusing on female workers
  • 2. Develop open-access professional training programme in cybersecurity essentials
  • 3. Address the specific need to attract female trainees and develop future cybersecurity professionals and build the future European cybersecurity workforce
  • 4. Deliver sustainable VET training programmes in five European countries with innovative online curriculum and industry orientated training approaches
  • 5. Enhance the digital and cybersecurity skills of females from non-technical backgrounds
  • 6. Support females from non-technical backgrounds to understand the cybersecurity challenges brought by our digital world and the professional opportunities being formed

The consortium was formed by evaluating the capability of partners to contribute to the development of the project forming a transnational cooperation that will increase the effectiveness of integration and understanding of the project’s topics, forming a European way of collaborating.
